Terms of Use
Blobdom is a game about blobs. These are the rules for playing it, written to be read rather than skipped. By playing, you agree to them.
1Who can play
You must be 13 or older to register an account. If you are under 13, please do not register. A parent or guardian who finds an account belonging to a child under 13 can write to privacy@blobdom.com with the username, and it will be deleted, along with any published video the child appears in.
2Your account
An account is a username and a password. Nothing else is asked for — no email address, no real name, no date of birth.
Because no email address is collected, a lost password cannot be reset. There is no recovery link to send. If you forget it, the account and everything in it is gone, and the only way back is a new account.
Keep your password to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Do not pick a username that impersonates someone else, and do not use one that is somebody's real name.
3How to behave
While playing, do not:
- harass, threaten, or abuse other players;
- post sexual content, hate, or anything aimed at hurting someone;
- impersonate another player, a clan, or an administrator;
- type real-world personal information into the world — yours or anyone else's. Everything typed is visible to everyone nearby, and may end up in a video;
- use bots, scripts, or modified clients, or exploit bugs instead of reporting them;
- attack the service, its server, or the accounts of other players.
Chat passes through a word filter for everyone by default; buying the voice item lifts it. An administrator may put the filter back on an account, mute it, kick it, or ban it — as well as ban a whole city or country — at their discretion, with or without notice or explanation.
4The world is public — and recorded
Blobdom is a shared world with no private rooms. Everything you do in it is visible to every other player, and to anyone at all through the viewer pages, which need no account: your blob, your username, your clan, and every word you type over your head.
We record gameplay and publish it — as videos on TikTok, YouTube, and anywhere else the game is shown. Those recordings can include your username, your clan, your chat, and what your blob does. By playing, you grant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to record, edit, publish, and keep published those parts of your play, with no payment and no obligation on us to publish anything or to keep it up.
You can ask us to stop. Write to privacy@blobdom.com with your username. We will stop featuring that account in new videos, and take down or edit anything already published in which you can be recognised — ordinarily within 30 days. Copies that other people have already downloaded or reshared are beyond our reach, and we cannot promise to remove those.
Other players record too. The clip button runs inside each player's own browser, and any screen can be captured by software nobody here controls. What other people record and post is not ours to grant, restrict, or take down.
5Coins and items
Most coins are hauled home in the game. Coins can also be bought through Buy Me a Coffee and are credited to the account by hand, which is not instant — allow a day.
Coins, spells, skins, and clan decoration are permission to use a feature inside the game. They are not money, not property, and not an investment: they cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred between accounts, or refunded, except where consumer law where you live says otherwise. Prices, items, and how they work may change, and a banned or deleted account keeps nothing.
6What is ours, what is yours
The game — its code, art, world, name, and the look of every page — belongs to its author, and may not be copied, resold, or passed off as your own. Recording your own play and posting it is welcome; taking the game itself is not.
Whatever rights you have in what you type and in the name you pick stay yours. You give us a licence to show them to other players, to moderate or filter them, and to include them in the recordings described in section 5.
7The game may break or disappear
Blobdom is provided as it is, with no promise that it works, stays up, or keeps your things safe. The world can be reset, accounts and coin balances can be lost to a bug or a bad deploy, and the whole game may be shut down without notice.
To the extent the law allows, there is no warranty of any kind and no liability for lost accounts, lost coins, lost time, or anything that follows from using the game. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8Ending it
You can stop playing at any time, and ask at privacy@blobdom.com for your account to be deleted. We can suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, or ends the game for other people.
9Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the game does. The date at the top says when they last did, and playing after a change means accepting the new version. See also the Privacy Policy, which covers what is stored about you and what is not.
